Ten Cadillacs buried nose-first in a wheat field

Ten Cadillacs, model years 1949 to 1963, buried nose-first in a wheat field beside I-40, sprayed over daily with fresh graffiti. It was created in 1974 by the art collective Ant Farm as a monument to the rise and fall of the tailfin. Admission is free and it is open at all hours. Visitors are actively encouraged to bring spray paint and add to it. The result is something genuinely strange — part junkyard, part shrine, part ongoing collaborative artwork. Pull off at exit 60 on I-40 westbound, then walk about a quarter mile across the field.
