Caelum Moor is a large outdoor sculpture installation consisting of five groups of standing granite stones — a Stonehenge-like arrangement that was originally built in 1986 for a corporate headquarters in Irving, then relocated to a park near AT&T Stadium. The artist, Norman Hurd, modelled the installation on megalithic stone circles, and the scale is imposing: the largest stones stand five metres tall.
It's an odd and quietly wonderful thing to find in the middle of North Texas, the kind of public art that is easy to walk past without noticing and startling once you do. The park around it is open to the public and the sculpture is freely accessible. Located in Collins Creek Greenbelt Park, within a short walk of AT&T Stadium.
