Columbia Historical Museum focuses on West Columbia's role as the first capital of the Republic of Texas. The exhibits are small but useful for understanding the early Texas government, the town's former name of Columbia, and the wider Brazos River settlement story.
It works best as a short history stop while touring the inland side of the Brazosport area.
