San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is about eight miles north of downtown, served by most major US carriers. Ground transport to downtown takes twenty to thirty minutes by taxi or rideshare; there is no direct rail link. Driving is straightforward: I-10 runs east-west through the city, I-35 north-south. Parking downtown can be expensive on event days.
Amtrak's Sunset Limited connects San Antonio to Los Angeles and New Orleans three times a week; the station is downtown at 350 Hoefgen Avenue. The bus network (VIA Metropolitan Transit) connects the city but is not well suited to tourist routes. Most visitors drive or use rideshares for getting around.
