Garden City

Main Utah-side lake town, known for marinas, cabins, and raspberry shakes

Garden City is the practical centre of the Utah side of Bear Lake. It is small, spread along Bear Lake Boulevard, and built almost entirely around summer visitors looking for boat rentals, groceries, camp supplies, and something cold after a day on the water.

The town's signature indulgence is the raspberry shake, made with berries grown in the surrounding valley. You will see signs for them everywhere in summer, and this is one tourist ritual worth joining. Garden City also hosts Raspberry Days in early August, when the lake is at its busiest.
