Laketown sits at the south end of Bear Lake, away from the heavier summer traffic in Garden City. It is more ranch town than resort, with open fields, broad skies, and a slower approach to the lake.
Travellers usually pass through on the way to Rendezvous Beach or the east shore, but the town gives a useful sense of the valley beyond boating and cabins. It is also a good reminder that Bear Lake is not just a weekend playground; people live and work around this basin year-round.
