Manchester is a car town. The main artery is Route 7A, which runs north through Manchester Village and Manchester Center before merging with US-7. Most of the restaurants, shops, and attractions sit along this corridor or within a short drive of it. Hildene is about 3 kilometres south of the Equinox on Route 7A; the American Museum of Fly Fishing is in Manchester Village. Without a car, getting between them is awkward.
There is no local bus service of note. Taxis and rideshare are available but coverage is thin; Uber and Lyft operate here but wait times can be long, especially late at night. For visitors who want to walk, Manchester Village — the historic core around the Equinox — is compact enough to explore on foot, with marble sidewalks connecting the main buildings. The outlet shopping in Manchester Center is also walkable within the strip itself.
Bicycles are a reasonable option for fit riders: the valley is relatively flat along Route 7A, and several of the main attractions are within cycling distance of each other. The Equinox Mountain climb is for serious riders only.
