Middle Covered Bridge crosses the Ottauquechee River right by Woodstock's centre, giving visitors the classic Vermont covered-bridge moment without a detour. The current bridge is modern, but it follows traditional wooden covered-bridge form.
It is a quick stop, and that is fine. Walk through rather than only photographing it from the road; the river view and the sound of boards underfoot are the real pleasures.
