Taftsville Covered Bridge

Long red covered bridge east of Woodstock over the Ottauquechee River

Taftsville Covered Bridge is a handsome red bridge a few miles east of Woodstock, spanning the Ottauquechee River near the small village of Taftsville. It is longer and more rural-feeling than the bridge in town.

The setting is the reason to go: river, old mill village, and a slower stretch of Route 4. It makes an easy stop on the way to Quechee Gorge or White River Junction.
