The Joshua Wilton House is Harrisonburg's best-known fine dining restaurant, occupying a large 1888 Queen Anne Victorian house a few blocks from downtown. The menu changes seasonally and uses local Shenandoah Valley produce heavily — the farm-to-table approach here predates the trend, rooted in genuine relationships with local suppliers.
The dining room is formal by Harrisonburg standards, in a warm Victorian-parlour way rather than an uptight one. The garden terrace is pleasant in summer. The house also operates as a bed and breakfast with five rooms. It is one of the better restaurants in the Shenandoah Valley and worth a reservation for dinner.
