Okanogan is a small working town, and eating out reflects that. There are diners, fast-food chains along the main strip, and a few Mexican restaurants serving the agricultural workforce — nothing remarkable, but you will not go hungry. The local advantage is fruit: from late July through September, roadside stands along US-97 and the valley roads sell apples, cherries, peaches, and nectarines picked that morning. That is the genuine food experience of the Okanogan Valley.
