Sky View Observatory sits on the 73rd floor of Columbia Center, high above downtown Seattle. At about 932 feet above ground, it offers one of the broadest public views in the Pacific Northwest, taking in Elliott Bay, the port, the stadiums, the downtown towers, and the mountain horizons on clear days.
It is less iconic than the Space Needle but often a stronger pure viewpoint. Buy tickets online if possible, and save the visit for a clear day when Mount Rainier, the Olympics, or the Cascades are visible.
