From Seattle: By Sounder commuter train from King Street Station to Tacoma Dome, 56 minutes, running weekdays and weekends. By Amtrak Cascades on the same route (30–45 minutes). By car on I-5, 30 minutes in light traffic (longer during peak hours). By Pierce Transit or Sound Transit bus, about an hour.
By air: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) is 17 miles north. From SeaTac, the Link light rail runs to Tacoma Dome station in about 50 minutes, connecting to the T Line for the downtown cultural district. A taxi or rideshare from SeaTac to downtown Tacoma takes 25–40 minutes depending on traffic.
By Amtrak: The Amtrak Cascades and Coast Starlight both stop at Tacoma Amtrak Station, located at the Tacoma Dome near the light rail station. Direct trains from Portland (3 hours), Vancouver BC (4.5 hours), and Seattle (40 minutes).
