The W.W. Seymour Conservatory is a graceful glasshouse in Wright Park, opened in 1908 and still one of Tacoma's gentler pleasures. Inside are palms, orchids, bromeliads, cacti, and rotating floral displays, all packed into a compact Victorian-style structure with a distinctive central dome.
It works best as part of a Wright Park walk or a low-key break between Tacoma's larger museums. The conservatory is small, but the setting, free admission model, and historic architecture make it more than just a rainy-day backup.
