Good Zoo and Planetarium is part of Oglebay Park, Wheeling's big hilltop recreation complex. The zoo is modest in scale but well suited to families, with animal exhibits, a train, and indoor programming that helps on poor-weather days.
It is most worthwhile if you are already spending time at Oglebay, where trails, gardens, and seasonal displays can fill out the trip. Check schedules for planetarium shows and animal encounters before building a day around it.
