Getting There

Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport handles domestic routes throughout the US and some international connections. It is located about 10 kilometres south of downtown. The airport bus (MCTS Route 80) links it to downtown in about 30 minutes; a taxi or rideshare costs around $25–35.

By train, Amtrak’s Hiawatha Service runs between Milwaukee and Chicago Union Station roughly hourly, with the journey taking about 90 minutes. This is the easiest way to arrive from Chicago, and the train deposits you at Milwaukee Intermodal Station in the heart of downtown. The Empire Builder (Chicago to Seattle/Portland) also stops at Milwaukee once daily in each direction.

By road, Milwaukee sits at the junction of interstates 43 and 94. Chicago is about 90 minutes by car; Madison is 75 minutes to the west.
