A serious cocktail bar and wine bar in a narrow Recoleta building, run as a sophisticated small space with good-quality drinks and a kitchen that serves small plates until late. The wine list focuses on Argentine producers and is arranged by region — Mendoza, Patagonia, Salta, and the lesser-known provinces — with genuinely helpful descriptions. The cocktails are well-made and not over-complicated.
Gran Bar Danzón opens in the early evening and stays open until around 2am. It is small enough to require reservations at weekends. The crowd is mixed: local professionals, serious wine drinkers, and visitors who have done some research. Less obvious than the Palermo bar cluster and correspondingly less crowded.
