A working-class neighbourhood across the river from the centre, known for its football culture and a strong Bolivian and Peruvian immigrant community. The streets around the Estadio Julio César Villagra — home of Belgrano de Córdoba — fill on match days.
By day Alberdi is a good place to find Andean food, small ethnic markets, and a less polished side of Córdoba. The neighbourhood was also the home of the 1918 University Reform leaders and is dotted with plaques and murals commemorating that history.
