The Parque 2 de Febrero is Resistencia's biggest green space, on the western edge of the city. The park surrounds a sizeable lagoon — the Laguna Argüello — and contains a rowing club, sports fields, picnic areas and the open-air space used by the international sculpture biennial.
Locals come to walk, run and fish on weekend mornings; food stalls set up on Sunday afternoons. Not a destination in itself but a pleasant escape from the heat of the centre, particularly under the trees in the southern half.
