A well-designed interpretation centre dedicated to glaciers and Patagonian ice fields, perched on a hill about 6 km from the town centre. The permanent exhibition covers glacier science, the Patagonian Ice Field, and climate change, with good English signage throughout. A standout feature is the cryobar — a small room kept well below freezing where you can drink a whisky on the rocks (those rocks being actual glacial ice) surrounded by ice sculptures. Worth visiting the day before your glacier excursion to get your bearings, or the day after to understand what you saw.
