The city centre is compact and walkable. Most hotels, restaurants, and tour operators are within a few blocks of the main street, Av. San Martín.
For the national park, a local bus line (Línea H) runs from the terminal on Av. Maipú to the park entrance several times daily in summer (October–April); fewer services in winter. Taxis and remises are available around the clock. Car rentals from the airport allow independence, particularly useful for exploring the park at your own pace.
Tour operators on Av. San Martín sell everything — boat trips, trekking excursions, 4x4 trips to the mountains, and transfers to the national park. Prices are competitive and operators are plentiful.
