Taxis are cheap and plentiful in Cochabamba — the centre is easily navigable by trufis (shared taxis running fixed routes) or private taxis. The main sights are spread over a large area, so taxis are often the most practical option even for short distances. Rideshare apps work in the city.
The city centre is walkable for the main concentration of sights around the Plaza 14 de Septiembre and the market district. For the Cristo de la Concordia, take a taxi to the cable car base or to the steps; for Palacio Portales, a taxi from the centre takes about 10 minutes.
