Plaza de Las Banderas is not Cochabamba's most beautiful square, but it is a recognisable civic landmark west of the centre. The rows of flags and broad traffic-circle setting make it a useful orientation point in a city whose best sights are spread out.
Stop if you are already moving through the Recoleta or Avenida Pando area. It is more urban texture than destination, but it clears the threshold as a quick, named landmark in a part of Cochabamba visitors often pass through.
