Chapada Diamantina rewards active visitors. The easiest and most rewarding day trips from Lençóis include Ribeirão do Meio for natural waterslides and swimming, Morro do Pai Inácio for the classic panoramic view at sunset, and the Gruta do Lapão cave system. Longer day trips reach Poço Azul and Poço Encantado, the extraordinary blue-lit caves in the eastern Chapada. The two-to-three day trek to Cachoeira da Fumaça — approaching from the top of the plateau for the full 340-metre plunge view, or from Vale do Capão below — is the defining experience of the park.
