Pipa is 85 km south of Natal, the nearest city and airport. Natal has direct flights from São Paulo, Rio, Brasília, Recife, and several European cities. From the airport (which sits south of Natal on the way to Pipa) it's about an hour by taxi or pre-booked transfer; the most economical option is a shared shuttle van, easy to arrange in advance.
Public buses run from Natal's main bus terminal to Tibau do Sul or Goianinha, with frequent local connecting vans down to Pipa village; allow about 2 hours 30 minutes door to door. Driving the BR-101 south from Natal is straightforward in daylight; avoid at night, when potholes and unlit livestock make it riskier.
