A small but well-curated decorative arts museum in an early 20th-century mansion on the Vitória corridor between the Pelourinho and Barra. The collection covers Portuguese furniture, Brazilian colonial silver, jewellery, and the most important display of balangandãs — the silver-charm jewellery worn by Bahian women in the 19th century.
The mansion is itself a fine example of Salvador's early modern bourgeois architecture. Allow 90 minutes and combine with a walk along Avenida Sete.
