A long-running Pelourinho backpacker bar with a roof terrace and a regular roster of live music — samba on weekends, MPB and bossa nova during the week. Caipirinhas are cheap and strong, the crowd is mostly travellers, and the atmosphere is reliably high.
Easy to find, easier to stay in too long. Walk down the hill to find a taxi rather than walking home through the dark Pelourinho lanes.
