Jardim da Luz is a historic public garden beside Luz station and the Pinacoteca. It was a fashionable meeting place for Sao Paulo society in the early 20th century, and still works well as a quiet green pause between the station, museums, and the older streets of Centro.
Come during the day and combine it with the Pinacoteca or Estacao da Luz. The garden is more a short walk than a destination on its own, but its mature trees and setting make it one of the better central stops.
