Igreja Nossa Senhora do Rosário

Igreja Nossa Senhora do Rosário was built in the late 18th century by and for Ouro Preto's Black brotherhoods, at a time when enslaved people were barred from worshipping in many other churches. Its curving plan, formed by three converging ovals, gives it one of the most distinctive silhouettes in the city.
