The Santuário Diocesano de Santa Teresinha is Taubaté's most eye-catching church, built in the 1920s in neo-Gothic style. Its twin towers and pointed arches stand out from the low-rise streets around Praça Santa Terezinha.
It is not a major pilgrimage site on the scale of nearby Aparecida, but it is worth a short stop while walking the centre. The square around it is also a useful landmark for orienting yourself in town.
