Pope's Wood is a small Polish immigration memorial park created after Pope John Paul II visited Curitiba in 1980. Traditional wooden houses, moved here from older Polish settlements, hold displays on immigrant life and give the park more substance than a simple green space.
It is close to the Oscar Niemeyer Museum, so it is easy to pair the two. The wooded paths are quiet, and the houses make this one of Curitiba's more distinctive ethnic heritage parks.
