Osorno's main draws are natural — the Osorno volcano, the surrounding lakes, and Puyehue National Park to the east are the reasons most travelers stop here. The city itself offers a compact historic core with some fine 19th-century architecture and a good market. Chilean rodeo at the Medialuna, if you can time it right, is not something you will see anywhere else.
