By air — El Edén International Airport (AXM) sits about 13 kilometres south of the city, near La Tebaida. Domestic services run several times a day from Bogotá and Medellín, with less frequent flights to Cartagena, San Andrés, and a handful of seasonal international routes (Fort Lauderdale, Panama City). A taxi to the centre costs around 35,000 to 45,000 pesos and takes 20 minutes.
By bus — Armenia's bus terminal is on the south-western edge of the city centre, walkable from many central hotels. Frequent services run to Pereira (40 minutes), Manizales (90 minutes), Cali (3–4 hours), Medellín (7 hours), and Bogotá (7–8 hours by direct service). Long-distance overnight buses are reasonably comfortable; the day buses to Pereira and Manizales are minivans or small coaches running every few minutes.
By road — Armenia sits on the main Cali–Medellín route via the tunnel through La Línea pass, which dramatically reduced travel times east toward Bogotá when it opened in 2020. Driving the coffee triangle by rental car is straightforward and the most flexible way to combine the three big cities with the surrounding villages.
