Large green park in the north of Armenia, a popular weekend escape from the city centre

The biggest green space in Armenia itself, in the north of the city near the Quimbaya Museum. A series of small lakes connected by wooden bridges, walking paths, an open-air amphitheatre, and large stands of bamboo — the local guadua — make it the city's main weekend retreat. Families come on Sunday mornings; runners and dog walkers use it the rest of the time.

It is a good way to get out of the centre for an hour without committing to a full day trip. Combine with a visit to the nearby Quimbaya Museum, which is only a short walk away.
