A surprisingly large coffee-themed theme park about 25 kilometres west of Armenia, near the town of Montenegro. It is divided into two halves: a museum and botanical gardens section that traces the history of Colombian coffee from cultivation to cup, and an amusement-park section with roller coasters, a log flume, and a chairlift that runs over the working coffee fields.
The combination is unexpectedly successful. The coffee museum is genuinely informative — there is a long open-air walk past every variety of arabica grown in the region — and the theme-park rides keep children entertained between exhibits. A cable car connects the two halves, with good views over the surrounding hills. Allow most of a day if you intend to ride everything. It can be reached by bus from Armenia's main terminal in around 40 minutes.
