Parque Isla is a public park set on an island formed by a fork of the Magdalena River on the edge of the city centre. It is Neiva's main green space — shaded paths, a small lake, and access to the riverfront that gives some relief from the intense heat the valley is known for.
Families come here in the evenings and on weekends, and the park is a good place to observe everyday city life in Neiva. A walking bridge connects it to the Malecón and the La Gaitana monument. The river views are the main visual reward.
