Fundo Pedrito is a rustic wildlife stop near Iquitos, usually visited as part of a short river outing. It is best known for caimans and paiche, the enormous Amazonian fish that still surprises people even after they have seen plenty of jungle photos.
This is not pristine wilderness, and expectations should stay modest. Its value is accessibility: a quick look at Amazon animals and river-edge life for travellers who may not have time or budget for a deeper lodge trip into the forest.
