Located at the foot of the Casbah, the Ketchaoua Mosque dates from the 17th century and blends Moorish and Byzantine architectural styles. It was converted to a cathedral during the French colonial period, then restored as a mosque after independence. The interior features fine marble columns and ornamental porticos.
