Mercado Municipal

Soyo's municipal market is the main place to buy fresh produce, fish, and local provisions. Vendors sell fruit, vegetables, dried fish, and basic staples. It's busiest in the morning, when the day's fish catch arrives. For self-catering travellers, this is the most practical source of food.

Beyond provisions, the market is a good place to observe the rhythm of the town — the mix of locals, fishermen, and traders who make up the non-oil side of Soyo's economy. Bring small notes, as change can be hard to come by.
