Pô is the nearest town, about 15km north of Tiébélé on the main road to Ouagadougou. It has markets, fuel, basic guesthouses, and services that the village lacks; it is the natural base if you want to spend more than a day in the area.
Nazinga Game Ranch lies roughly 50km northwest of Pô and is one of the best places in West Africa to see elephants in the wild. The ranch was established as a conservation and community development project and has resident populations of elephant, buffalo, warthog, and antelope, as well as good birdwatching. It is usually visited as a combination trip with Tiébélé.
Ouagadougou is 150km north, about 2.5 hours by road. Most visitors to Tiébélé come from the capital and return the same day; those with more time can spend a couple of nights in Pô and combine both Tiébélé and Nazinga.
