All visits to Tiébélé are organised through the Association pour le développement de Tiébélé. Guides are local residents who explain the symbolism behind the painted patterns, the techniques used to mix and apply the natural pigments, the construction methods for the earthen compounds, and the rhythms of everyday Kassena life. The tour typically lasts one to two hours. Tipping your guide and making a contribution to the association is expected rather than optional — the fees are the village's main income from tourism and fund the ongoing maintenance of the site. Come with small bills and ask at the start what the going rate is.
