By air, TACV (Cabo Verde Airlines) operates domestic flights from Praia (Santiago) to São Filipe Airport (SFL). The flight takes about 30 minutes. Flights from other islands usually connect through Praia.
By ferry, CV Interilhas and Nôs Ferry operate services from Praia to the port below São Filipe several times per week. The crossing takes four to five hours and costs around 20–25 euros. There are also connections between Fogo and the neighbouring island of Brava, which take about 50 minutes. Ferry schedules are subject to weather and can change — check current timetables before travelling.
Note that the ferry port is a few kilometres below São Filipe itself. Shared taxis (aluguers) run between the port and the town.
