Ponta do Sol is small. The pleasure is mostly in being there: the square at dusk, the natural pools, the old airport runway used as a promenade, and the spectacular hike down from Cova de Paúl into the Ribeira valley. The good thing is that the best walks in Cape Verde start from here.
