The Chapels of Ain el-Muftilla are a compact archaeological stop near Bahariya Oasis. Their decoration is patchy and faded, but the site adds useful context to the area's better-known tombs and temples. The nearby conical tomb of Sheikh el-Badawi gives the visit a small extra layer of local history.
