Lake Bakili is a salt lake southeast of Lake Asale in the Danakil Depression. It is around 40 square kilometres in size and is less commonly included on standard tours than the area's better-known salt flats and volcanic features.
For travellers already going deep into the Danakil, it adds another stark salt-lake landscape to the route.
