Dalaba's appeal is almost entirely outdoors: the highlands offer some of the best hiking in West Africa, with waterfalls, Fulani villages, river gorges, and high plateaus accessible on multi-day treks or as half-day excursions from town. A local guide is strongly recommended for anything beyond the most obvious trails — paths are unmarked and conditions change with the rains.
