Robertsport is about 100 km northwest of Monrovia by road. The route runs through Tubmanburg and the road has been largely rebuilt in recent years; the trip takes around two and a half to three hours in a private vehicle. Shared taxis run from the Vai Town junction in Monrovia, mostly in the morning.
If you are heading on to Sierra Leone, the border at Bo Waterside is another hour or so north of Robertsport, and onward transport to Freetown is available on the Sierra Leonean side. The border post can be slow; allow time.
