Robertsport's draws are the surf breaks along the cape — Cottons Point, Fisherman's Point, Inner Cottons, Cassava and Shipwrecks — and the empty Atlantic beaches that link them. Beyond surfing, climb Cape Mount for sweeping views over the lagoon and ocean, take a pirogue across Lake Piso for birdwatching and a swim in calmer water, and wander the ruins of the Tubman Center of African Culture and the older nineteenth-century settler buildings.
The town's curious ghost ship — a rusting oil tanker that grounded itself on a remote beach further up the coast in 2009 — is a slightly grim but compelling sight if you can find a local with a boat or vehicle to get you there.
