The Memory of Agadir Museum is small, but it explains the city better than many larger attractions. Set in the Olhao Garden, it uses photographs and documents to show the Agadir that existed before the devastating 1960 earthquake and the reconstruction that followed.
This is the place to go before visiting the kasbah or judging Agadir only by its beach-and-resort surface. The collection gives the modern city a human backstory: streets lost, buildings destroyed, and a seaside town rebuilt with a very different shape.
