The beach is the dominant attraction — a wide, clean arc of sand stretching 9 km along the bay, with generally calm Atlantic water. Beyond the beach, the Kasbah on its hilltop north of town offers the best panoramic view of the bay and is worth the trip for that alone. The Souq El Had and the Marché Municipal provide authentic city life away from the resort strip. The fishing port is liveliest at dusk. Day trips to Taroudannt, Paradise Valley, and the Massa bird lagoon are all easily arranged from Agadir.
